fundraising campaigns & events

Chinese Auction:
This community-wide event is a cornerstone fundraiser for a mid-size non-profit, consistently raising funds, expanding the donor base and generating positive publicity. Planning for this event entails managing a team of staff and volunteers for several weeks, and includes: solicitation of prizes, design and distribution of prize booklet, print and digital publicity, sales and marketing, and significant event logistics.

Annual Gala Dinner:
Largest single fundraising event for Outreach organization, highlighting the past year's successes and focusing on future growth. Preparing for this event includes selection of honorees, designing and mailing dinner invitations and personal solicitation letters, processing and printing dinner journal, and event logistics.

Raffle Campaign:
This phone solicitation campaign was designed to minimize the time invested by the organization, and to maximize participation of existing donors. Preparing for this campaign requires database management, preparing script and publicity, and processing incoming pledges.

Holiday Hotel Retreats:
These hotel retreats welcome guests to "enjoy the best of both worlds", providing an educational and inspirational environment, together with the comfort of a luxurious hotel and sumptuous catering. These hotel retreats have enabled the organization to fulfill its mission while also serving as reliable fundraising events.

Preparation for these event includes: venue selection, print and digital publicity, processing of registration, organization of guest rooms and dining rooms, liaison with hotel, food service, and staff selection and supervision.

Passover Hotel Retreat:
While similar to the other holiday hotel retreats in many ways, the Passover retreat takes the concept to a whole different level. There are more than 1,300 guests in 400 rooms on three different properties for at least 10 days, and more than 200 children in the preschool and day camp programs. There are six different communal dining rooms - as well as several private dining rooms – accommodating more than 120 tables of all shapes and sizes, with more than 100 waiters and kitchen staff to handle the food service.

Offering a consistently professional and organized event, this Passover program has grown from 450 people to more than 1,300 over the past 10 years, and has been selling out and growing year after year.

hotel retreats: families

Family wedding and Shabbos sheva brachos at New York area hotel, for approx. 100 guests. This five-day, four-night celebration included pre-wedding meals and accommodations, wedding ceremony and reception, and Shabbos sheva brachos.

In addition to the Shabbos hotel logistics (guest rooms, dining room seating, and shul set-up), preparing for this multi-faceted event also included: research and confirmation of venue, menu design, and the coordination of wedding music, video, photography and flowers.

community wide event

Queens Shabbos Project, part of an international campaign, with several hundred participants. This community-wide event included catered meals, a full schedule of programming and educational workshops, and a Saturday night concert.

Preparing for this event involved working with a team of volunteers and community leaders to coordinate efforts, secure and confirm multiple venues for two-day event, and arrange all details regarding catering and logistics.
